Hi, i'm looking for a cheap way to get me Dolby or DTS True HD, and LPCM.

Basically, I have a PS3 and a Denon AVR3805 that has discreet 7.1 channel inputs...

So, all I need is a decoder that has a HDMI input, pass through, and 8 phono Audio outputs. Can't be that hard... can it?

TIA.

Ian.

P.s. Hi André.

The cheapest bet I can think of is to sell the 3805 and buy a 3806. You'll get about £250 and the other will cost about £350 and will pass through a 1080p/24 signal.

Nobody is going to release a standalone decoder for £100 any time soon.

Hi Russ
So I have a 3506 and Im thinking I can upgrade to blue ray using hdmi out to the denon which will pass through 1080p/24 also hd true sound etc will be converted in the player and passed via hdmi to amp . This will work ? ?
Thanks Blueye

Sorry I ment the denon 3806:oops:
