    Hi,

I am off to Hawaii and San Francisco over New Years and want to buy either the Canon Eos 300D or the Nikon D70.

Has anyone had any experience with retailers in the US and can recommend any.

    Thanks for your help

I went to one of the US 'Chain Stores' earlier this year...Best Buy.
Its akin to our Comet stores, but with an unbelievable range.
They had hundreds of 300D's, and a limited range of 'prosumer' lenses.

As aruke of thumb mainland USA is cheaper than the islands, so I would do a bit of "surfing" for retailers in San Francisco ;)

    Thanks for the responses.

I have been doing some surfing and have decided to get it in the UK as it comes with £100 rebate and a 256mb memory stick. Jessops are doing a very reasonable price. Plus it'll be easier for warranty purposes (hopefully won't be an issue). I also won't run the risk of paying vat at customs.

    Cheers
