As far as I know, they do not do a pixel check, but instead follow Panasonic's own pixel policy.

I ordered ae500 on Thursday (5th march), with DHL overnight delivery, got the PJ on Friday 6th, no dead pixels. To say i'm happy is an understatement....

You lot are an incredibly bad influence.

Have ordered an ae300 from them, should be here tomorrow.

Now just have to squeeze it into a 3.2m x 2.3m room (it will fit honest) :D

Edit: will eventually learn how to spell (maybe!)

Recieved my AE500 on Thursday after ordering on Monday using Parcelforce. Quick testing (on a wall!) shows no dead pixels. Now have to reorganise so I can set it up on the screen, so far very pleased.:)

So, now that you have had it for a few months, just how good is it?

 Everythings still good, now got HTPC running DVI at 1280 x 720 which is mighty fine. Run up about 200 hours so far. Still Makes me smile everytime i play pro evolution soccer on the PS2 via a lowly Svideo connection, and DVDs are just quality (it even made Judge Dredd seem a good film). The HiDef stuff that my crappy Athlon PC can play just looks amazing.

Had trouble getting a decent football broadcast displayed for Euro matches, as Freeview looks ****e, and ended up running Analogue TV aerial through VHS and into projector via scart which gives OK results, but nothing special.

So yep, all in all still more than happy.

I am seriously considering getting a projector for my room.

My bedroom is about 4 m square.

I bought a 28" widescreen about 6months ago and would keep this for general viewing.

Anybody have a similar set up? If so please post up a pic or two.

Also, i cannot find the ae300 in komplett.

The AE300 is long discontinued now. Notice the original posts are from March.
