I am fortunate enough to be heading to Florida for my summer holiday in a month and a bit.......

I know we supposedly have fairly easy trading to the states.....but knowing the realities, thats not strictly true!

So what sorts of things might i be able to buy over there for my new pc that would be cheaper? soundcards? maudios seem v expensive here.......ram is very expensive her, is that a worldwide thing?? etc!

    thanks!

And expect to pay 17.5% VAT on your return. It's probably still cheaper though...

    Buns,

http://www.pricewatch.com is a good site to get an idea of US prices.

Don't forget you can post stuff home, rather than braving the green channel at customs, with a case full of booty.

USPS is very cheap and fast, and you can get small items delivered here for about £6-7 in 4 days, uninsured, but rarely get 'lost' or get stopped by customs for duty and VAT.

This link is the rates for a 1 pound weight package to GB.
The $9 'flat rate' large pack is a good one to use, or the smaller one for RAM etc.

Can I send you a shopping list :D

    Mark.

I was only thinking of small things! I doubt that anyone is going to say very much about, if they can even notice, me carrying some ram or a soundcard!

    thanks for the info though!
