A decent deal on UK Xbox credit.

MSpoints | Rakuten.co.uk Shopping: Xbox Live 4000 Microsoft Points (Approx £34 Value)

4000 of the old school Microsoft points (which is roughly £34) for £27.99. Not especially great as its just under 20% off which you an sometimes get at CD-KEYS.

...But you also get 675 Rakuten points which is worth £6.75 off you next purchase. I'll probably pick up a £10 card once the order has shipped and the points have come through.

Just to also add that the money that you get in your account from Microsoft points expire (unlike adding currency which doesn't expire), so you'll need to spend the £34 within 1 year of redeeming the points.

I have a mix of both types in my account, how would I know how much of each type I have?, when it expires or even if I'm buying stuff does it use up the points first?.

It doesn't even mention anything about it when you redeem them unfortunately.

I think it will use up the credit that has an expiry date first (I hope).

If you log into hotmail> click on your name on the top right> Account settings> Payment & billing & it should show your current balance & any expiry dates etc.

Don't you also get an email telling you when they are nearing expiry. Mine will be used up in the next month anyway.

It doesn't seem to show the expiry of credit anywhere in your account, I can easily use it in time but I do need to know how much real money versus points I have in there. Probably not many points as hopefully most of the points were used up for Witcher 3.

How come sellers still have these cards?, did they rob thousands of them at some stage and then very slowly sell them off?. Because I thought Microsoft moved over to real money before the Xbox One even launched. Credit redeems fine and sellers fine (used him before) but it still smells fishy sellers still having stock of these cards.

Mine still hasn't arrived but I'm in no real rush. Not sure how long the Rakuten points take to show up.

My points have always showed up straight away previously, maybe because it's a X whatever promo thing on points the system is clogged up with orders so it's taking a while. Going to be annoying if I have to chase the points up with Rakuten.

Yeah, still waiting. Noticed the seller has a gmail email, so must be small business.

Thanks for this info. I bought a load of 2100 points cards for £10 each from Asda last year and I've got £52 in my account I was saving for Halo 5.

I've just checked and it expires in July and August :thumbsdow

It's been 23 hours and my code still hasn't arrived. Think I'll email them to see if they can send me the code.

I was about to post the same. Many of the big games releasing end of the year are available for digital pre-order, including Halo 5. So you can pay for it now before credit expires! @ian b

I was down on them all doing pre orders soooo early, but I suppose this is the one advantage that if you have any expiring credit, it can be used up on games further down the line.

Code arrival time doesn't bother me so much as I want the points on the account so I can purchase a second card before they sell out...
