    Hi All,

I'm looking to buy a Panasonic Viera plasma but am a bit confused over model numbers.

www.krishav.co.uk lists two 37 inch panasonics - the TH37PA30 and TH37PE30. The only difference I can sopt between the two is the price - £1550 and £2100 respectivly.

I've done a bit of research and the PA30 looks like an EU model of the Viera ( listed on German panasonic site ) and the PE30 looks like it is just available in the UK.

Can anyone shed any light on the differences between the models ? Is it another case of rip off Britian ??

    Cheers,

    Darren

Would be surprised if it's 'that' much of a technical difference between the models.

Give them a call and find out ! It's a fabulous price if all it is, is a European model. Incidentally it also appears as if it comes with 24mth warranty on the euro sites ?

Ok I take that back, it appears there is no reference to a Digital Tuner on board the PA30 on any of the Euro Panasonic sites. It maybe the PE30 is the only one with a Digital Freeview Tuner on board which would make sense as you don't get Freeview in Europe.

Still, you can get an STB if that was the case ? Ring them and find out for sure anyway.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think the TH37PA30 is a Viera.

    Thanks for the feedback guys.

I think Ekko Start is right - the same as the UK model without the tuner. I'll give them a call later today.

I live in Sweden so for me Germany is really the right place to
    order PlasmaTV.
    I order Panasonic KIT-TH-37PA30EJ-SO (stand)
At least 300-400£ cheaper then the lowest internetshop in Sweden.(NETONNET) Including with delivery and insurance !

    Look here

Ekko Star is right. My Viera has no freeview tuner in it. Couldn't use it anyway. It does have a nice analog tuner though.
