I'm looking for some 'temporary' standmount speakers to upgrade my current cheapo pair of Eltax surround sound jobbies until I can afford to get some nice new B&W DM601 S3's. Has anyone got or experienced the Mission M71i's from Richer Sounds? These look to be perfect as a stopgap, and looking at Ebay, I could probably sell them on at not much of a loss.
Failing these, are there any comparably priced speakers which would be as good or better than these, either second hand or new, looking at £75 absolute maximum? Cheers.

They are very good speakers. Get some decent stands and your stopgap solution may be around for a long time

IMO the M71i speakers were always very good for the money and given the prices they have dropped to since they were discontinued you cant really go wrong. Sell them on fleaBay afterwards and you should be able to get most if not all the cost back. I have certainly seen them going for above what some of the end of line retailers sell them for.

Thanks for the opinions, got some Atacama Nexus 6 stands on the way, and 30kg's of steel blasting shot to fill them with, should keep them steady!

Thanks for the offer, if they'd been beech instead of black, I'd have snapped a pair up, but SWMBO needs things to match!
