    :lease:
    Hi,
Does anyone know where I can purchase/rent a digital sound meter for my HT setup?
The cheapest I've found is about £45 - and I will (probably) only need it once for the time being...
    Any help is appreciated.

Unless you can find a second hand one you'll need to spend around £30 for an SPL meter of any value to you.

Try Keene Electronics and Cornwall Electronics for the Radio Shack Analogue SPL meter. It's probably the best upgrade you can do short of completely replacing all your equipment and moving further up a range.

Have you thought about trying a mobile phone?
I have a Nokia 5140, this has a sound meter built in.
Our work mobile phones also have them (Nokia 6210 I think) It may be worth asking around your friends, or the kids to see if they have one with a S meter built in.
