Hello gentlemen, my first post here.

I usually read Norwegian forums but thought Id get some new input.

I'm planning on buying a new reciever, especially because of room-correction features.

Current owner of a HK AVR 7000 and was wondering if it could be smart to buy a cheap receiver such as the pioneer vsx-915 and use the hk as power amp.

The HK is after all a small powerplant whereas the pioneer vsx 1015 has a power consumption of 430W.

    Whats your thoughts on this?

How will that do any good?

You will settle for a lesser reciever and lose quality as a result. Whats the purpose? save power(=money)?
