I'm looking to ramp up my Halloween house set up by using several projectors to backlight onto windows and project onto pumpkins/garage door etc...

I must be mad, as it costs me a fortune in sweets as it is, but it has become a bit of a tradition on our estate and my kids love it, as well as all those who visit.

Hopefully, I can make it good enough & collect some money for charity, if I can entice people to chuck some coins into some form of prop.

I live in Lincolnshire, but would be happy to pay for courier collection, if required

    Location: Cleethorpes

Take a look on eBay for Unic Uc46.

About £55 delivered for a new unit, I bet it would be fine for what you need.

I have one, they are good.

I'm sure an LED type would be good for the singing pumpkins effect, but I have heard they are not really suitable for window projection (2.4m x 1.2m). Due to lack of brightness.

I'll have a look at the YouTube reviews as my house frontage is reasonably dark, so may get away with it. I might even order one to try out.

Thanks for the suggestion, I could probably do with a few tho :(

I ordered a new UC46 from Amazon for just over £50, will see how it goes.

I'm still interested if anyone else has cheap LCD projectors they want rid of.

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised, I was.

It's not for serious movie watching or gaming, but I was quite impressed for the price.

    Hi,
I have an Optoma DS211 for sale. It is a DLP, SVGA resolution business type model. It's working fine with about 500 hours on the bulb. It only has VGA, S video and composite connections (no hdmi) so I don't know if that is an issue. I have a component to vga adapter I can include if you need it. It's nice and bright too (2,500 lumens). I am looking for £60 plus delivery.

    Thanks Mallardo,

Would you mind hanging on a couple of days?

I am waiting for a cheapo I bought of eBay (£30 delivered) to compare to the new LED one I bought recently. The LED is much more convenient, with usb/memory card storage, but not sure it will be bright enough for what I want to do.

If anyone has an ultra short throw cheap that would great?

I need one where a normal throw will not suffice.

Sorry for not responding earlier, I didn't get a notification for some reason.
No problem, it is not going anywhere, business projectors aren't really in high demand on this site. I am going to put it on E-bay eventually but not any time soon so just let me know if you are interested.
