Cheap Prog Scan Player's

    Just been local computer fair and saw two very cheap dvd players that both claimed to do prog scan pal and ntsc, one was a p&b and the other was a digital i player, both probably the same other than the chassis but they were £65 anybody know anything about theese player's.

    They reminded me of richers limit dvd as none of them had a standby button.

    In that case get it...as it is a very good player...

    Besides what you need a standby button for anyway, there is very little equipment these days that is actually consuming less energy on standby compared to on...And besides you have to get up to put a DVD in the player anyway...
    Also another benefit of NOT having standby is that you can be certain as you can be that no signal is provided to any automatic component switch boxes you may have so it is not hogging the inputs...
