Any recomendations for places to get good quality, long, shielded video cables for running from sources to a projector?
    Looking for:

    VGA to Component
    Component
    Svideo

    Between 10-12 meters long.

I'm also considering making my own using CAT5 STP as explaing on AVS forum. I already have about 30 meters of it.

    Hi WSquared,

Perhaps not the cheapest place but they do make good cables,
Just got a RGB with sync loom from them for a Barco 708,

but beware some are thick, this one I have just got is around 21mm in diameter and take some hiding.

    THanks for the replies.

    Steve,
21mm. Ouch. Sounds like you got the broadcast cable rather than the "mini multi-core" cable. How the heck are you hiding that? You would need to reinforce the walls just to take the weight!

Looks like the "15 meter Van Damme d sub connector ~ 5 x BNCs" for £76 is what I need. I either need to get this cable made with phonos connectors or get some BNC to phono converters.

Guy, I couln't find any cables longer than 5 meters. I might ring them to see if they do longer cables. Also, the website doesn't say what kind(brand) of multicore coax they use to make up the cable. If you have one of these, does it have a brand name of the cable itself?
