Cheap media player options

So we have an AC Ryan and it works superbly, does everything i want. I've moved out and taken that with me So "er indoors" wants a media player. No streaming capabilities needed, just plug in a HDD and play the files MKV/MP4 etc etc.

What are the options on a basic player?

It needs to support a 2TB WD HDD and output all audio formats.

Looking on Amazon, this doesn't seem too bad for £30.

Yeah that old IMP150 should do the trick if all you need is something real basic. WDTV Live would be a bit more polished if willing to pay for it.
