    Hi all

Seen an interesting site - www.buythis.co.uk

they're selling the Panny TH42PW6 for £1639 and the TH42PW7 for £1564.95...i don't know if this is inclusive of VAT or not, but even so, its still under £2000 if its exclusive. i'm on the trail at the moment trying to find out what the final price is, but if anyone's heard anything 'not-too-wonderful' about the site, then it might be worth posting here.

    Cheers

buythis are actually very expensive considering what you dont get for your money....... no mount or input boards.... these are included in AV-sales price which while they dont have the PWD6 anymore, there price on PWD7 (silver or charcoal) is cheaper with the bits than RS for the PWD6... RS dont deliver but its included in AV-sales price!

mowbli, which RS store did you buy from and did you have to have the extra warranty to get it at that price?

RS only have black pw6 but can't supply a mount. any problems obtaining a panny mount (black) from another source?

actually i saw an alphason separates stand with a plasma mount fixed to it (their new design). does anyone know if i would then not need a stand for the PW6/7?

Bought it from the store in Notts.

If you don't need any extra boards (which I don't) then surely this is cracking deal!

I did take the warrenty but the price was quoted to me with or without it... the Managers name is Adam...

http://www.av-sales.co.uk/plasma/html/panasonic_th-42pwd7bk.html £1514.07 inc mount and delivery and pick board BNC component +£63.45 or DUAL slot for +£75.91
£1590 inc the Dual slot board!!!!!!!!!DELIVERED £400 more than RS but delivered ideal if no RS store local with stock mount even cheap mounts are upto £150 and you get the dual slot board, ideal if you have an AV amp with video switching but no conversion

you won't go wrong with av sales mate. Having had the usual bad experiences elsewhere they are a real pleasure to deal with.
