After failing with a LCD purchase I'm looking at a CRT which I will upgrade when LCD technology improves.

I'm looking to spend between £300-£500 (as it will be replaced soonish), I have a home cinema set-up so will be using a Yamaha (prob 750) Amp for the video source.

As there will only be a need for one input on the TV from the amp I'm looking for a screen with a minimum of 1 RGB scart.

I've read alot about 50hz vs 100hz but I imagine at this price i will be better off with 50hz. Obviously I will not be using the TV speakers at all so have no worries about this.

Would prefer 32" but doubt I can get this at this price.

Currently I watch alot of DVD's and TV with NTL's box (RGB SCART), I also watch alot of football.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I needed a basic 2nd 28" widescreen TV and was about to buy some cheap supermarket fodder then noticed this new Philips 28" widescreen on ebuyer for just over £200 delivered...

I ordered it Tuesday, it arrived this morning, and I've just got in from work and had it up and running 10 mins. For the price I'm extremely impressed...PJ

PS there's one with a cabinet for slightly more...

    ...just as an aside.

Have you ever seen a modern Home Cinema projector in action?
