Looking for my mother and really dont want to spend more than £150.00

    Seen -
    Phillips LX3600 - £140
    JVC XV-THS1 (includes SPS1) £140
    Pacific PHC203 £69

Really looking for DD5.1 and DTS playback play DVD-R and is a decent quality of sound and picture - Multi region would be a bonus!.

Anyone got any thoughts as to what is available and where to get from

    Thanks

I'm too looking for a system of similar buget. Been doing alot of "homework" and decided the best entry level dvd system is the FAIRLY new Sony DAVB100. My local Sony shop and John Lewis stores are doing it for £199. It has DD5.1. I plan to get the Sony KV32CS70 telly, and as it happens both the Sony shop and John Lewis are doing a deal.... buy the TV and get the DAVB100 for £99.

Can't say i've found anything for less really.

    Happy hunting.
