Cheap Dvd Recorder

Hi All

I'm looking for a cheap DVD recorder. It will be used primarily to archive stuff from my Sky+ hard drive or to record programmes for other family members.

It will not be used as a playback device as I also have a Pioneer DVD737 for that purpose.

Ive seen a couple of recorders in my local supermarket ( Cyberhome & Dual ) for about £90. I dont suppose the picture quality is up to much but does anyone have any experience of these models.Or would I be much better off buy buying a more expensive Panny etc.

Also I note that these record in DVD+. Is this a good format or is DVD- better?

Finally, how easy is it to record Sky+ programmes to DVD?

Thanks for your help

the DVD + - argument is falling over - *dont* buy just for this!! woolworths is now selling DVD- at the same price as DVD+ :)

dont wast money on a 'cheap' deck, that you could put towards buying a better one...
