    could any one please tell me what are some good cheap DVD Recorders please thanks.

    It depends what you mean by cheap? What's your budget and what do you want it to do?

    And do you really mean a dvd recorder which can only record one hour at best quality, or one with a hard drive which is much more versatile, recording at least 10 times the programs at any particular quality, and gives you the ability to create dvd's with no over-run, ads etc, at best possible quality by utilising all the media for the recording, all in one box

    my dads wanting to back up his old vhs on to dvd. my dads budget is about 200 but i was thinking that it may be better to get a dvd writer for the computer and a video capture card which would make it more versitile and cost effective.

    I'm backing up my old vhs to DVD and it's fine on the e60, he could get the e50 and it'd be ok. They're about £250.

    You can get Panny e50s for around £200. Great proven player at cheap money.

    i decided to buy a DVD writer for the computer and back them up on to it. thanks for the replies
