I'm after a cheap and cheerful digital camera to take with me to glastonbury -
It must use compact flash, run on AA batteries and be fairly small. I'm not too fussed about pixel count, 2m would be fine but could possibly for go less. Cheapness is the main thing here (up to £150? max)- that way if I do loose it, drop it in mud etc, I wont be too upset.

    Has anyone got any suggestions?

Dixons, *were* doing an offer for the excellent 2mp Nikon 2500 for £150 while stocks last. They may still have a few. I believe that used compact flash.

I'm after something even more cheaply. Maybe £50 max, only gonna be used for going out and taking convenient snaps.

    Any ideas?

    I've ordered a DV2 camera from Firebox.com

Cost me £99.99 with a 64mb memory card.

It does 1280x1024 res pics which is fine for me and will also capture a few mins of video which is pretty cool also.

    Will do.

Not sure who makes it, Mason (Taz) has one so he might know.

I'll try to find out, though it should arrive tomorrow.

I got me a Nikon 2500 (as suggested above) from £149 from Dixons and have to say i'm pretty impressed with it so far. The only down side is it takes a nikon battery and not AAs - but i've seen them on ebay for about 20quid so all is not lost. Picture quality is great, its easy to use, and the lense is hidden away so wont get damaged too easily. :)
