Is this the re-release as I read about there being loads of problems with the first release so if this is not the re-release its understandable why its so cheap lol

    What problems?

On the availability it says "stock on order due 6th June". I suppose this would mean that they were not first release.

When the show was origonally commissioned it was put forward as a British version of Star Trek but most veiwers thought that this was an unfair comparison and the show took this badly. :(

After years of sitting on the dusty BBC shelves it was released on Dvd but some of the shows had years of pent up anger and frustration and as soon as a Star Trek or indeed Dr Who comparison was heard the disks would sadistically electrocute anyone who tried to eject them.

They are currently undergoing low-morale/repression therapy in the Priory, they are learning to handle their ejection, :) news of a release date is expected soon.

If they are not the re-pressed sets then they are the original releases which have problems playing correctly on some DVD Players due to them not being authored correctly, below is info someone posted on another forum...

My set arrived and has the problem everyone is talking about - freezes half way through the second episode on each disc

Any news on whether the Beeb are offering replacement discs? There is a number to call for technical problems in the packaging so I might have to give them a call.

I e-mailed them about this and they will give you a refund.

What player did you have the problem with?

There can't be anything worse than premature ejection
