    hi all,

it's 3 days before christmas and my brother has decided that we're to buy our mum an lcd tv for christmas!!

so, i don't have time to do a lot of research and need a couple of quick suggestions for cheap lcd's. my mum doesn't watch a lot of tv, mostly eastenders and the like, so we don't need the latest and greatest and the quality doesn't need to be too good. i just need something that'll last her a bit.

looking somewhere around the £350 mark but can stretch to £500.

if it's not pushing it too much...a built in freeview tuner would be great! but i'm not holding up much hope of that.

    thanks in advance,

    tom.

Sony KDL-26U2000 (Top brand name, HD Ready and with Freeview) from Sainsbury's for £499 if you're quick! (My local store has some but they are selling fast.)

    hi guys,

thanks for the response. i'm gutted we weren't able to get one of the sonys. we ended up getting a lexor lc27w18sd for £400.

mum was very pleased so it's all good! i've not seen it in action yet but i think it'll do her nicely.

    thanks again.
