Question Character in mascot costume

Not too long ago I watched something, tv show or maybe a movie, and there was a character in the background, in scenes of the townspeople, and this character was always wearing a sort of mascot costume, like a squirrel or chipmunk. Can't remember what show that was. Recognize it?

Never mind, woke up this morning pretty sure it was an episode of My Name is Earl, from season 1.
