Anyone in Manchester will know of the above but why do I get such a bad picture?
My folks in Stockport pick it up like A1 but here in Eccles it is poor.
Some one mentioned buying a wideband and changing the cable.
    Any ideas wellcome.

Sorry is this poor picture on terrestrial, digital freeview, or satelite I'm not clear? The simple guess would be the aerial. Each setup is different, & perhaps there are things interfering with yours but not next doors signal. A good aerial, preferably outside, pointing the right way, (see which way everyone else is pointing - not just one-it could be wrong!), a good (outside coax could have degraded) coax, well made off at the ends would probably cure this.
