Channel 5 Freeview Reception?

Well-known Member
My channel 5 freeview reception on my Humax PVR9200T has been terrible the last few days has anyone else been having the same problems?
I live in the Guilford area but I usually get a fairly adequate signal strength (65%) and quality (50+%) via a booster which usually gives me a half decent picture.
The last couple of days the signal strength has been about the same but the quality has been as low as 20% giving picture corruption or no picture atall:(
It has been bad before for short periods which i have put down to atmospheric conditions, but, never for such a prolonged amount of time.
All the other freeview channels are fine it's just channel 5.

Any ideas?

All OK on my 9200.
I live a stones throw from the Crystal Palace transmitter and have much higher signal & quality readings than yours.

Yep I'd go with bad weather conditions, if there's snow about my digi reception (freeview) is pretty poor especially abc1, M&M, Sky 3 and SSN although I have to say 5 is usually ok.

Yep, down in deepest darkest West Sussex where Freeview reception is marginal at the best of times Channel 5 is non-existant and the ITV channels are breaking up badly.

As others have suggested, I am putting this down to poor atmospheric conditions.
