Can I just say that I was a bit of a skeptic when it came to online gaming.

However, a month of live has really convinced me that this is a viable gaming evolution. I find myself browsing titles that offer full true multiplayer live support and shunning the single player adventures.

In recent weeks, I've passed on (midway thru to all the completist freaks out there) Indiana Jones, Dead To Rights and JKII. I'm only keeping splinter cell due to my own semi-completist freakery!

    And TW2003.

Let's hope everything keeps getting better and that the live service (and the other network gaming platforms) keep going from strength to strength.

It looks like the Team Compete site has started season 2. This is Island Thunder as the main title, then the original G.R as subscript.

By the way the recon team now have 0 wins  but also have 0 losses

xbox live has it's limitations. For example with our 256 upload we can only host 4v4 on most games. Which is a bummer :(
But for people who can't be bothered configuring PC's, Xbox live is just plug and play. Really simple to sign up for and to find your mates online. you can aslo see what games your friends are on. and they can invite you or you can send them invites to join.

There are going to be a few new updates for xbx live coming within the next few weeks. Which I think we are all looking forward to.

xbox live gaming is a doddle.

I have mine directly connected to my cable modem (when I want to use my laptop I just switch cables and quickly turn my modem on and off). I've heard connection sharing is just as simple.

When you're online, it really is an absolute joy to use. The interface is very simple, the mode setups offer a variety of ways to customize your games and the play itself is very good. As with everything internet related, your experience will depend on some factors outside of your control (like the connection speed or performance of a game server).

But I've found it all to be top notch.

In my view its a let down, esp when compared to PC or PS2. SOCOM, Firewarrior and others. Next fifa will be online also!

PS2 Socom - complete waste of time playing this online now - theres far too much cheating, action replay codes etc - this is what completely ruined the DC online games. Thank god XBL is so far safe from that kind of cheating.
PS2 online is a nightmare trying to find your friends as it has no friends list plus Voice chat is not a standard feature.
The only thing i'm disapointed with on XBL is the limited amount of players we can handle due to our crappy Broadband - I only have 256k upload so can only handle 8 players on GR, 12 on Wolfie,SOF2.
The new Updates to XBL should be great the voice chat rooms is a very good idea and a nice cheap way of speaking to friends and family living abroad aslong as they have an xbox.
