I'm becoming disenchanted with Sky can I use my satellite dish in conjunction with a free view box or do I need an ariel installed. What is a good free view box possibly with a hard disc recorder?

If you discontinue your Sky subscription you can buy a card to watch free to air channels for £20. If you get Freeview, you need an aerial.

You can certainly continue to use your Sky box to get a selection of channels broadly equivalent to Freeview (called 'Freesat') using your old, deactivated Sky card.

You don't need to buy anything new. Sky will cancel your subscription but the card will work as a 'Freesat' card still. Actually, there are quite a few 'Sky Digital' channels that don't even require a card of any kind.
