    Hi,

Has anyone changed from a Denon AVC-10SE to a Denon 3803?

If so, how do they compare? Is it an upgrade or a downgrade?

I love the 10Se to bits, but I am getting a plasma soon and need an amp with audio delay, hence the 3803 would be ideal (wish the A11SR had the delay feature :()

    Any help appreciated :smashin:

That's if you want to stick with Denon. There are other, cheaper alternatives that may (certainly in the case of the 7500) still offer an upgrade to the A10SE. The NAD T773 for example, or a H/K 7500, are both good and will offer great stereo performance, too. Have a listen to them both and you may be surprised.

Perhaps getting a listen to an AVR3803 would help. I heard it two weeks ago and - whilst it didn't blow me away - it was certainately very good.

A second hand A1SR, as you suggested, might be a better bet. I've seen them sell for around £1400 on a few occasions.

Why not get a projector instead? Much cheaper, better picture, and no need for audio delay...

(I use an AVC-10SE and Panasonic AE-300 proj...)

I wouldn't asume lip sync is going to be a problem.
I've got a panny 5 that i used with a 10SE and a freeveiw box and very rarely had lip sync problems , almost never really.
