I currently have Sky+ with Sky World. Ideally I'd save a few quid by dropping the seldom-watched channels, like the movies.

A friend says Sky have got me by the short 'n curlies though - as soon as I drop some channels Sky will start charging me for using the PVR features. Is this right?

    Cheers!

You are OK if you drop movies but keep sports, or vice versa. You will still have enough premium channels to avoid payingbthe Sky+ fee.
