Changing B&W VM1's For M-1's - Will They Sound As Good?

I'm currently using B&W VM1's with a REL Quake very happily yet I'm thinking about changing to B&W M-1's, due to their more descrete dimensions - something that will please my better half significantly :)

My only concern is performance. I'm not expecting any improvement just the assurance the M-1 will sound as good as the VM1.

Before I arrange a demo I was wondering if any forum members had any experience or advice?

I got a set last week and am really impressed :)

To be honest, with all the hoo-hah! in the press over the performane of the M1's, chances are that they will outperform the VM1's but how much difference that will make in your lounge is a subject for much debate :)

I am really, really happy. Better with music than I expected and I am just using the low level input to the sub.

VM1's look nice too.

Thank conkerman

I didn't think they would be inferior to the VM1's and any sonic improvement would be a bonus.

Change the quake for an B&W PV-1 as well, your wife will love it because of the design, you will love it for the exellent lower definitions! (sound :hiya: )

What about the FPM series. Too expensive??
Unfortunately yes; this will be very much a 'sideways' upgrade as I'll be selling the VM1's to partly finance it.
