Could i change the Sony DAV IS10's centre speaker or fronts for something a bit more meaty? the reviews i have for them have been awesome, with the only slight problem being a slight lack of midrange. The obvious(to me) answer is to upgrade one or the other. Is this possible?

The biggest restrictions you will face is the range of the signal sent to the centre speaker, and the power the unit can deliver to it.

The unit is designed specifically to tun with these speakers (hence the hulking great sub). Like most sony HTIB systems, these run at a very low impedence, so swapping for a normal speaker will also make it harder for the system to drive the speaker, and its unlikely you will get much of an improvement, if any.
