    Hello

I've been given a Sky box that we are using in the bedroom as a freesat box.

The only problem is that the BBC1 region is not ours (north west not yorkshire). I know the that yorkshire is on channel 976 but is there any way to swap this so it's on 101?

    Thanks

No way of changing it I'm afraid:(

If you're using a card in the box, the BBC region you'll see on 101 is allocated by postcode.
If you're not using a card BBC1 usually defaults to BBC London or the last region used when a card was present.

Do you have a Sky card in another box and is that showing the correct region?

It's also worth trying a forced software download
Sky Digibox software - forced downloads

    Hi

There is a card in the box, it's the one that came with it.

I also have Sky+ downstairs so I have a viewing card for that.

The card in the box has been allocated the BBC region in which it was activated.

The only certain way of ensuring the correct region (North West) and not Yorkshire (if that is what your other card shows) is to obtain a new FreesatFromSky card and activate it to your postcode upon receipt
Cost is £19.57 direct from Sky

If it's an old 'Blue House' card it will stop working eventually anyway when Sky complete the card changeover

    Thanks for that.

Think I might have to do that soon anyway once the new viewing cards have all be sent out.

Just give them a ring with your viewing card handy. They will just allocate another postcode to it and all will be well.

Hopefully that may work, but it's a second user box with the card still registered to the original user or may even be an expired subscription card.
Worth a try I suppose. Even then the old 'Blue House' card will cease to work soon and ex-sub cards will not be replaced.

I dont suppose there is any way to get BBC2 North on Sky is there?

Often they've ben showing 'The Super League' show on BBC2 north but Sky just reverts to the default southern feed.
