Ive read through some of the search topics about CeX and found people have good and bad experiences. I have looked on there website a few times now and they offer some great prices for trade ins. I understand that dealing with them online is very hit and miss so i intend to go into my local store, in ipswich. I have a few questions about how the place works, if anyone would be able to help me out?
1) I understand that you have to have a membership? Ive heard it mentioned that this requires ID, all sounds a bit complex, if so is a driving license sufficient ID?
2) So you turn up with your goods, (games and dvds in my case) hand them over, they scan them and tell you the price which you can get in cash or credit. How is the credit issued, and do you have to spend it all at once or can you get "change" from it if that makes sense?
3) Ive heard that often they dont have enough cash. Is this a common thing or is it generally ok so long as you arent selling really expensive stuff?
4) Are there dvds generally in good condition? nothing worse than a dvd with a dirty looking case which you are afraid to touch
Hope someone can shed some light on these questions for me, would be very helpful!
