What music in Atmos is currently available to buy, does anyone know?

      This was a good watch.

Was nice to hear that they are trying to accommodate to different scenarios. I have no doubts that speakers in ceilings will provide a better experience but for me, that won't be an option so the fact they are acknowledging this and getting more soundbars with Atmos built in and want to get them into everyone's homes can only be a good thing.

Just need to see those prices fall.

I mention in the article that the recent re-issue of Sgt. Pepper included an Atmos sound track.

There is Roger Waters - The Wall, although that is a concert. There is a Kraftwerk - 3D the catalogue, which is both Atmos and 3D visuals, and finally the recent re-release of REM - Automatic for the People. To get the Atmos version of the latter will cost you £79, and the Beatles is even more expensive, as both are only available as boxed sets.

You seem to take that at face value! To me he essentially was saying , No of course not, but we want Atmos everywhere, and people want the term Atmos on their stuff regardless, so we will go with it ;) Only a good thing for those who do install ceiling speakers as more devices means more content.

Thanks to Steve for asking that question.

Yup, Atmos or dts:x content needs to grow a lot more before it becomes a must have.

Anyone can take what they want out of what he said-all depends on your agenda and price budget doesn’t it.

Will be an interesting year regardless.

Standard blu ray audio for music is thin and far between, the two titles I have are pretty good. Bob Marley Legend is certainly sweet. I have an Atmos disc of Mumford and Sons Dust and Thunder yet to my ears at least the whole Atmos sound is no where near as good as the DTS MA on their Road to Redrocks concert disc.

The major fail in my eyes is the lack of Atmos speaker packages available, and i'm not talking about half-hearted solutions such as soundbars. Whilst every AV receiver manufacturer seems to have incorporated Atmos and DTS:X into their products very quickly, there are virtually no major speaker manufacturers who have incorporated upwards firing speakers into their 5.1 sub-sat packages. As such packages are the mainstay of the budget conscious home cinema enthusiast, I'm kind of mystified why such packages don't yet exist.

"Hans Zimmer live in Prague" is music from the movies in Atmos, its just brilliant sound quality.
