Yes please - I'll have one! I like the look of the NotePRO - 12.2 inch screen, more ram and only slightly heavier than the Note 10.1. The actual dimensions are just shy of a A4 sheet of paper - perfect size for writing.

Where did you get the specs - eg more RAM, the weight? This looks exactly what I want...........

      Cheers

GSM Arena always on the ball, go-to-site for specs.

Not using OLED screen by the looks of it, although 2560x1680 resolution is welcomed. Very very wary of Magazine UI given Sammies tendency to bulk up on auto loading bloatware with their apps.

Finally a reason to upgrade my Galaxy Tab 7.7

I have my eye on the 8.4 Pro, it's not oled but the 2560x1600 res will do it justice, along with USB 3.0, infra red, LTE and wifi AC. With Snapdragon 800 will be great for streaming 4K content from a media server. Screen size and res make it great for Reading PDF files to.

I've been using a Samsung 8.9 for a few years now and have been reluctant to replace it because I like the size of the screen. This sort of size is handy for reading books and slipping into the pocket without being too small. Only the Kindle Fire seems to use this size screen. Also 'handbag friendly' size too. Guess I'll have to come down in size a bit, but I'm looking out for the 8.4 too. The iPad mini is verging on the too small for me. The gap between phone, phablet and tablet sizes seems to be getting a bit blurred.

Can you please point to where it says the 8.4 will get the 2560x1600 res. I can not see that in the linked article so keen to find out whether the smaller screen sizes will get the ultra hi-res screen.

There does not appear to be any info on the 8.4 screen resolution. The devices have just appeared on the Samsung website, but there is not much detail. The larger screens do indeed appear to have a 2560 resolution, but nothing is said about the 8.4, which implies to me that it might have a lower 'full HD' spec. You can register your interest in the devices on the site (although the specs might be leaked before they are on it).

I certainly agree, but it is a premium product. These are Euro prices and they do vary quite a bit from one Country to another. I await to see what the UK price might be. They seem to be up there with A**le in pricing. It's not unusual for prices to drop quite a bit when the units actually go on sale.

Has there been an announcement regarding a follow up to the Note 8 at all?
