It seems to me that the biggest difference, visually anyway, is the width of the bezel between the VT30 and the VT50, and with the GT50 getting rid of that daft silver strip on the inside of that previous models bezel. It would appear, at first glance, that an awful lot of everything else is pretty much the same and the focus tends to be with the expanded internet functions. Ok there maybe some differences with some of the changes of the tech but it will be whether or not any visual difference will be apparent. It will be interesting when the launch of the european versions takes off next month though, and of course when AV Forums get their mitts on both models for a true evaluation on performance and also with the price ratio. In the mean time i'm more than happy with my VT30. :)

My replacement panel arrived. 2 days in.

ALL PANELS ARE NOT THE SAME.

This new panasonic vt30 has a better picture than the 1st panel I had...

There is no Flicker what's so ever, plus no head ake.

BUT..... it still has that bloody transformer buzz/fizz. on SD telly watching,. It's still a problem 3mtrs back

Going to arrange a 3rd swap out, or cash refund, or credit note, & get the new VT50.

Still the best picture available, when it's all running right

    Game on.
