ceramic hob

    i have a schott ceran ceramic hobb.instruction book says. made in italy.
    when i turn the hob on it starts to warm up the ring then cuts off after around 10 seconds.it does this on all four rings.does anybody know why it does this.the hob is only 4 years old and barley used.hob works but unable to use it as keeps clicking off.

    Schott ceran is the manufacturer of the glass not the actual appliance. If you look underneath the hob you will find a sticker with model/serial number etc.
