Looked at the Tannoy RC Centre, purely on the basis that it would match my Tannoy R2's in cherry...

However, it seems some people on these forums say a mission would offer a better tonal match?

    Budget is £200...

Will be getting an Mj Acoustics Ref 100 sub in cherry too :)

    ta...

It's the same drivers fitted to the RC and the R2. They integrate well with each other - as one would expect.

As a point of interest, who say a Mission would be better?

I've got a mission mc72 center with the r2's and the tannoys are a better match to the center than the missions i had .No doubt the tannoy center would be even better.I don't get the missmatch across the front i used to with the mission trio.I would go for the tannoy center, a bargain at the mo.Don't forget the rears:D

    A chap called bob1:

In fairness, it looks as though he may just be saying that the Mission centre blends better with the Tannoy R2's than it did with his Mission M73's, not that the Mission centre would be better than the RC centre with the R2's.

I'd definitely go for the Tannoy RC to match the R2's.

Thanks for the replies guys, and happy new year to you all...

Glad the RC is the choice, as it will match my R2's visually :)

    Slightly off-topic.

Is it pointless bi-wiring speakers if they are being set to small, and the bass is being routed to the sub?

Yeah, not sure to put it on top of my Sony 28fx66, or have it underneath in the first shelf...

Acousticly higher is better for a centre, around the same height as the front tweeters?
