Centre speaker stand questions

Hi,
i'm just about getting around to setting up my home cinema system properly.
I have 4 stands for the front and back l+r's.

However, my center speaker is currently just sitting on the floor.

Is it possible to make a decent diy option?
the max height including the speaker is about 50ish cm off the floor, and the speaker is a BX Centre.
Does the speaker need space behind it like the bx2 bookshelf ones?

any other help or advice appreciated!

Hi Rottie,

Thanks for the reply!
Sorry it has taken me so long to reply, Christmas has been busy.
that looks pretty much what i'm after - I'm kind of wondering if i could make a home made version, and fill it with sand or if that will be a total disaster - what do you reckon?

Hope you had a good christmas!

I just bought a Monitor Audio GS centre speaker stand off eBay, I also have BX centre speaker. Stand is totally over engineered for my needs but superb.

Right height for you to.

That's what I've just bought from them. It's a real quality item and delivery was quick.
