    Hi Guys,

    Basically a very simple question.
I am looking at buying a glass av corner unit with 3 shelves (See Attached)
I am trying to avoid placeing the centre speaker on top of the TV as the Wife has made her feelings very clear that she does not approve.
So I am looking at placeing it on the second shelf. The problem I have is that with all the AV gear that I have the speaker would not be in the centre, would this be a problem?
If you look at the attached diagram (not to scale) you will see that it's not far of the centre position. Audio wise would this make a big difference if it's not dead centre?

If this is I may end up paying out a bit more and getting a 4th shelf just for the speaker.

Other than not being able to see your pic at all, can't you make an adjustment on your amp to compensate for the position of the centre speaker? If you can't, you'll just have to try it and see.

I think you may be best getting another shelf. The sound would be drawn more towards the right front speaker (is that them either side of the screen) which could sound odd. It would also look a bit odd aesthetically, more money to spend I'm afraid but then again that is the cost of WAF :D

    Thanks mylo,

I also thought it look more aesthetically pleasing if there was a 4th shelf.
You are correct those little boxes either side ofthe TV are the front left and front right speakers. I was worried about the sound, I thought it might be affected but was keeping my fingers crossed that this was all in my head.

Lets hope my bank manager is in a good mood :(

simple solution - tell the other half if she doesn't fancy having the centre on the top of the tele she has to pay for the extra shelf!
