    Dear all,
I am a beginner in this field, I need to setup a very basic and low-cost for ht.
    I have :
    Receiver : Denon AVR-1804
    Front : B&W 601 S3

    I need to add center channel , I have auditioned B&W LCR60 S3 and KEF Q9C
and for my beginner ear they sound the same.
Anyway KEF is having the sale and slightly cheaper than B&W.
Can anyone please give me the suggestion on this, which center should I choose?

    Thank you very much

    Hi

I think the first and most obvious choice would be the B&W purely for matching purposes. I havent heard the B&W properly so cant give you an accurate opinion but judging by their reputation it should be good. I can comment on the KEF though, owning one, and I'm very happy with it. Excellent, clear vocals and midrange and wide dispersion. Did you demo them with the B&W 601 S3 ? If they sounded pretty much the same to you then I guess its a question of asthetics and budget

    Cheers

I would be more inclined to recommend the B&W. My reasoning is that though your ears are not susceptible to the differences now, the B&W will over a level of assurance that if that changes, the speakers will still integrate well together.

I'm inclined to agree with Harry. If as you say you've heard them both and cant yet make out a difference, go with the B&W.
