I have the opportunity to buy a brand new Celestion AVP305 speaker system for £250. I was originally considering the Kef eggs or MS Genies. However this price is too good to ignore. What should I do? Are the Eggs and Genies worth the extra £350 and £450 respectively? I read somewhere that the Celestions share the same components as the Eggs. I will be driving them with a Denon AVR2106.

    Stevie,

How are you going with these ?

I've seen them on sale for £200 now and was thinking of buying them.

    Thanks

I don't have much to compare them to, but my personal view is that they are very good for 5.1 movies, although the centre speaker can sound a little weak. They are less impressive with stereo music. In fact, I am considering changing the fronts to the AVF302s (if I can find any!)
