Ceiling spkr placement advice pls.

    where is the best place (dimensions please) to mount a pair of in ceiling spkrs for channels 6.1 & 7.1 going to be? looking from the ceiling down my current layout is as follows...


    ----------------------------------------------- (back wall)
    RR........coffe table.....sofa...............RL


    Do I have to put them eqally spaced betweeen the rears? if so, how far between the in ceiling's? the rears are 3m apart.

    The only obvious thing is that they should go directly between the surrounds and opposite the centre channel.

    I'm not 100% sure how far apart they need to go. It depends on which spec you read. I think certainly no more than 1m apart though, possibly down to 0.5m.

    As I understand it they each go at 1/3 along the the rear wall from the site. My setup has 2 EX rears from the ceiling against the rear wall.

    It looks like they are going in that way by default anyway now.

    Joists are always the first to make a decision!:D
