Ceiling speakers. The perfect choice for front height duties?

This seems like a no brainer but having searched I can't find any talk about it.

Is anyone doing it, and if so how are you finding them?

If not, why not?

Thanks all

Not sure ceiling speakers would be the right height or directional enough in terms of the sound to really give a good front effect although could be wrong.

Chances are that they wouldn't even be close to being a tonal match for your existing speakers. I know that some people use smaller versions of their main speakers for heights/wides but at least they often have the same tweeter.

I think mismatched speakers is more a question of quantity over quality: IMHO you'd get better results having a better 5.1 speaker set up than a compromised 7.1/9.1 combination.
