Dear Forum, I just moved in a house that in the family room, there are 5 ceiling speakers installed, 3 in the front and 2 at each side of the back. there are 4 cables sticking out from the wall from the front wall. (Please see picture attached) I obviously want to reuse the 5 install speaker, but not sure what to do. My questions are:
1. Are those 4 cables (3 thicker 4 conductor cable in blue, 1 thinner 4 conductor cable in white) are all the good cables to drive the 5 speakers or I am missing one or two.
2. How to connect the 4 cables into the 5.1 receiver I bought. (YAMAHA RX-V377).
3. The cables are not long enough, how do I extend them, will I lost quality if I buy new wires and attach them myself?
4. If I ask someone to fix it for me, how much normally would it cost? Is this some job that I can do by myself?
5. Should I consider using new wires (new technology) to reroute the cable from speaker to receiver?
Is there are new type of cable that offer better quality and easy routing for this kind of set up? easy or difficult to do so?

Thank you soo much!
