Now that I Robot has been delayed I am just waiting for an email to say that AvP has been pushed back to January but hopefully the release date wont change, will just have to wait and see I guess.

Well I've got AVP ordered as a Christmas gift for a pre-pubescent cousin (he'll enjoy it ;)), so they better not delay it!

Just send them an email saying you would like to cancel your order, give them the order number and you should recieve an email back within a few hours saying your order has been cancelled and a refund has been processed, at least that is what has happened everytime I have cancelled an order including I Robot which I cancelled 3 days ago.

I can only speak for the R3 Fox release of The Day After Tomorrow but I would say the only differences between it and the R2 release is that it contains a Thai 5.1 audio track and a Thai subtitle option along with the English 5.1, DTS and the two commentary tracks.
The Menus are identical to the Region 2 menus and so are the extra features. The Artwork is no different on the front cover but there is a little bit of text not in English at the bottom on the back but the majority is in English.

Yes they are optional just as the DTS and Commentary tracks are optional, has there ever been a release where you can put two audio tracks on at the same time?

Thought I would just mention that the Region 4 release of AvP is due out on the 19th January 2005, no idea on the spec yet but I wouldnt be suprised if its available in both 1 Disc and 2 Disc forms.

I received the same e-mail from these too. However I am not going to cancel as it proves too much hassel for me and they are cheaper 2 disc editions anyway so a couple more months dont seem that bad and at least those of us who have ordered them have pre-order priority. I'd personally stick with your order if you've already ordered as it's pre ordered earlier than if you now go and pre order it elseware.

I dont see any reason to let them keep my money for a few extra months, would rather it stay in my bank account earning me money than the other way around but thats just my opinion.
