Go to http://www.cd-wow.com and you'll get a popup with a discount, refresh a few times and you might get a £2.99 discount voucher. It's on all titles, however, can only be used once, and doesn't apply to total cart, just one title.

Couldn't care less about 34p or 99p vouchers, as there is a £1 off link that was posted in Special Offers and works a treat (do a search if you don't know about it).

But I want that £2.99 off link, and my finger is starting to hurt after 10 mins of constantly re-loading their website - still nothing yet :(

Didn't even notice the pop-ups before as my firewall blocks all pop-ups. Obviously had to disable that particular feature for now :D

If you are patient enough the £2.99 link wil come up. If you also make your order, go through the checkout procedure etc, then use your history to go back, you can order something else at £2.99 off!!

Just got Die Another Day for £14.00 and Blackhawk Down for £7.00.

Might order Blackadder series 2 and 3 at £9.00 each!! :smashin:

    BIG THANKS TO Garbo

Did order the Blackadder - couldn't resist!

Thanks for that managed to get the £2.99 voucher

    Just ordered:

    5 CD's at £6
    2 CD's at £4
    & 1 DVD at £12

The best way I found to get the £2.99 voucher is to set CD-WOW as your home page, change the setting on internet explorer not to look for newer version's of site's, so that the page open's quicker, and it took me about 2mins of opening pages.

I'm having problems too, I used the link from the CD-WOW newsletter e-mail which advertised the easter offer: -

    http://www4.cd-wow.com/?affid=12114

I got a cream egg popup, since then I haven't got any more popups.

Do you need to login before you receive the discount popup?

Do you need to add the item to the cart or go to the checkout before you receive the discount?

    :( Thanks for any help!!

I think that cd-wow must keep an eye on this forum, just in case their special offers get a little too special IYKWIM :D

I have tried going on to the site again, and the best I have had is a 99p discount. As SG says, there is a £1 off link on another thread (do a quick search to find it), so that is a better bet.

I wish I'd ordered a few more DVDs now, but hey, c'est la vie.

Happy hols to all - hope you are having a great weekend.

    Coop

oops - tell a lie - just had another go and got a £1.99 link - seems you just need a bit of patience!

I had a 2.99, 1.99 and 99p that I used... there was quite a few 1.99 pop up's Tuesday... 2.99 seems quite rare, and there was the odd 99p yesterday...

Got £2.99 and lost it.

I got a 2.99 pop up and didn't realise it had discounted the DVD's.
I saw Harry Potter at £12 and thought it would come down to £9.01 at checkout. I went through procedure and then backed out as I thought it had not worked.

Lost my discount and been trying to get another ever since.

Thick, eh? :(

It doesn't help. Or at least I couldn't get it too. It needs a unique code to go with it.

I got a £2.99 voucher though, used it to buy The Crow Collectors Edition for £7.

i found that refresh didn't bring up a new offer

I found the best tactic was to open up about 50 windows by clicking the email link of those 50 usually 40 were eggs, 9 were 99p and one was 1.99

    got 4 1.99s but no 2.99s

gave up and stuck with the 1.99 but couldn't really see much so I went for the Crow

Agreed, open lots of windows and i tended to get similar ratios to you bobbles.

However, just gave it one final go to get a 2.99'er and with 30 windows I got 9 1.99 discounts! (but then got a bit stuck on what to order...)

So anyway, stuck with 1.99 off several individual items which is not too shabby I guess?

yeah but you only needed one as you can just use your history to get the discounted prices again.

Just had yet another session trying to get the £2.99 discount, and I think the odds are getting longer  .

Changed my homepage to cd-wow and quick-launched multiple Internet Explorers. Didn't keep count, but after well over 100 (!!!) attempts, the best I managed was a single £1.99 discount.

Made a couple of purchases using the £1.99, so didn't feel that all time spent on this was a complete waste.

    Pickle,

After using discount for first time, successfully went back via History to reuse. However, since I have logged off the 'net and reconnected, this no longer works. Sorry, but hopefully someone else might be able to enlighten us on this.

    Regards

It seems to be alot harder to get the £2.99 now. Ah well, keeps from spending more money.
