First time I've used CD WOW so would like to know about the despatch times, my order was processed and sent last Friday but today I got an email saying it takes 5-7 days normally. If that is true I think I'll stick with Play.com as they tend to send them within 5 days, your opinions please.

I usually find DVDs take 3-4 days after despatch.

Ive had a few that arrived 2 days after despatch.

I'll be more than pleased if that's the case, I remember when Laserline used to do next day deliveries and on rare occasions it took 2 days, how things change as they now take about 2 weeks (my last 3 orders have).

Pretty much like JimB, CD-Wow get DVDs and CDs to me usually on the third day after despatch.

Personally I've found them to be similar or quicker than Play.

considering play are in Jersey, and CD-Wow are in Hong Hong I think they do brilliantly and a pound cheaper than play.

go on, you know you want to order more

Why do they do themselves a disservice by stating that deliveries normally take 5-7 days, to cover themselves I guess.

Hmmmm, just wondering if LOTR Extended Edition can fit through the letterbox as the house is empty during the day

I think that LOTR is a good enough reason not to go to work/uni.

Coming from Leeds I can understand your concerns  only kidding m8 :)

There is a large group of killer bull terriers that live off the taste of human flesh, plus Indiana Jones type traps all through the abode :p :clown:

I agree about cd-wow usually being the fastest - on a couple of occassions I have recieved the dvd before the email!
Ordered the Band of Brothers Tin on wednesday, still not recieved it - that is about the slowest they have ever been - more likely the Post Office's fault!

Just to show how good CD-Wow can be, I order 'S1m0ne' the last Friday (it only came out yesterday though) and was informed by email from CD-Wow that it had been despatched to me:

    Sunday 19/01/03 05:17

It just arrived this morning Monday 21/01 at 08:14

That's about 48 hours from Hong Kong to my door. That's impressive. And with vouchers and suchlike, it only cost me £12.99!

Disappointingly I've just had an email from EzDVD (Australia) about a lost parcel.

The website states allow 2-3 weeks for delivery, and like CD-Wow they are usually quite quickly - normally 5 days.

I contacted them at the stroke of 3 weeks, The email this morning says i have to wait 7 weeks! I don't think I'll be using them!

I'm not sure what CD-Wow's policy regarding lost parcels. Thats the proof in the pudding of good customer service.

CD-Wow packages have always arrived within three days for me and usually within two, I consider them to be the most reliable supplier around and those that have had problems have reported that CD-Wow have unbelievably good customer service.

Ive allways been very pleased with cd wow but my order for the good girl has been put back for the 5th time. They email to let you know which is good. I know its not their fault a supplier has probably let them down, but its still frustating. Everytime i get home from work there is an email from them saying it will be longer.

at least they kept you informed though, I had the same situation with donnie darko. I got emails from them every couple of days so I wasn't really bothered. most suppliers wouldn't bother.

I ordered the Kylie DVD (mmmmmm). The emails I got from CD-Wow said they'd got better prices and the price kept going down.

Ordered it at £15.99, by the time it got delivered I paid £12.99:D

I just like those shops who get round customs with all different tricks. same with dddhouse, they got their tricks too. Yet I'm not sure if we should talk about those tricks on the forums as we all benefit from it but when the wrong poeple read about it they might try to do something about it. Just a thought. Then again posting from sweden is not illegal.
