I have just received an e-mail regarding my order for The Incredibles.Their mail says we "hope" to ship on the 18th Mar (this is the region 1 THX dolby digital EX version).

I had to cancell a dvd last week (Red Dwarf series 6) that was also delayed.Anyone else having any probs.

Just to let you know that
DVD Video The Incredibles: Widescreen (THX) has been dispatched.

Please allow 5 to 7 days for the goods to arrive.

this was sent to me on the 13th March so they must be shipping some - sounds like you've been awfully unlucky.

But is this the R1 or R2? I've had my R2 dispatch email, but the op was talking about a delay to the R1 version.

I ordered and paid for my copy on the 6th March, todays e-mail from cd-wow says they are currently awaiting stock!

dean y m when did you order your copy? if it wasn't for the fact that the disc is region 1 and dd 5.1 ex I would cancell and get the disc from elswhere.I will give them till Monday to ship and if no news I think I'll cancell and get it from another supplier.

This will be the 3rd time I have had a problem with cd-wow.It wouldn't be so bad if they billed you when the goods were shipped but they bill you when you order.

I ordered Feb 16th. Maybe they operate first come first served. Still, they should've anticipated the demand.

    Best of luck.

I've never had a problem with them at all. When a dvd took forever to arrive whilst I lived in Europe I called them and they sent another, then when they both arrived they paid for the return shipping of the extra one.

You must keep ordering the in-demand films!!

I got the same email awaiting stock on the 18th.

I ordered on the 3rd of March so they must be doing 1st in.

I've only ever ordered 2 other per releases from cd-wow, Goodfellas and on of the Kill Bills both of which were delayed.

Fantastic company but not impressed with the pre release system (especially when they take your cash).

Obviously not their fault but how is it that movietyme can get stock and despatch nearly two weeks before release date and cd-wow struggle with getting them out on release date.

(However, movietyme at 16.99 compared with 9.99 from cd-wow is a no brainer really).

Just checked my account too, disc showing dispatched but still awaiting e-mail to confirm.

Looks like they have just "got out of jail" as far as I am concerned,we'll see when the disc shows up.

Apologies Craig, should have checked my price before posting. Its 15.99, which doesn't really change the point I was making.

Which was if you want prompt delivery ,dvd's before release and good personal service (for av-forum members) then movietymes your man. If price is crucial then there are others who are more price competitive.

However, I should get my facts right

They seem to be having a delay for quite a few titles at the moment. A freind of mine recently ordered smallville 3, when he ordered it was in stock but 2 days later it says that stock wont be in stock till the 19th of march.

I have had numorous similar probs in the past too

CD-WOW have always delivered service for me. Maybe not the most prompt but always there within the week. They always have a personal response for any e mail you send them. Price is always amongst the best. They are my first choice everytime.
