It plays in the Car OK but not on PC. What going on?

Take a close look at the cover.
You might find a label on there stating that the CD will not play on a PC. This is some kind of copy protection used on some new CD's. If it wont play on the CD then you can't make a copy of it with your CD-R drive! :suicide:

it does not have anything like that written on it.

it has the standard compact disc logo. and a logo for digital audio technologies australia - which is to be cos pressumably sice this CD is an Australian version.

It plays well in the car and I have just tried it out on the Play Station 2 (no proper CD player)...and it work fine:confused:

Well I've got an Aerosmith album that says it will NOT play on a PC. Just because it does not say that does not mean that this is not the case. I recon it is anti-copy protection preventing it from playing on a PC CD-ROM/RW drive.

I have been looking into this issue. I am goinf to return the disc (Play.com). But is there any way of checking this. I don't see to have a problem with Ashanti disc which I brought earlier this year!
