    Hi there,

This is a bit of a strange question, but...

When I insert an original music CD into my PC and load Windows Media Player to RIP the tracks to my PC (for use with my iPod), it picks the entire album info up (track names, artist name, album name, etc). However, I like to backup my original CD's just in case anything happens to the originals. In this case, I forgot to backup the original and 'overuse' has wiped it out. I have the tracks stored on my PC, but if I burn them to a CD (using Nero), and put in the info (CD title, artist, UPC/EAN number, etc) and then play it using Windows Media Player, it doesn't pick up any of the album info.

What causes an original to be picked up?

I thought it would have been the UPC/EAN code, but obviously not.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks/...

As above, very few CDs have CD Text per se but when connected to the internet your media player will most likely download the relevant information for you. :)
